Cross Search Fields

These are the definitions for the fields on the Thomson Innovation cross search form which allows you to search both patents and literature content at the same time.  Because you are searching two very different content sets, a set of common fields was developed that "map" to the fields you are accustomed to seeing when you search patents and literature.  The definitions following will show you how these new fields map to the existing patent and literature fields.
