Saving a Marked List

1. Sign in to Web of Science. If you do not sign in, you will be given the opportunity to sign in during the save process. A Marked List cannot be saved unless you sign in.
2. Search the database and select records that you wish to add to the Marked List. Building a saved Marked List is no different from building a Marked List that is active only during a session.
3. Click the Marked List button to access the Marked List page.
4. Select the Marked List you wish to save. Remember that there is a single, aggregate Marked List consisting of all marked records from all databases. In addition, separate Marked Lists are created for each database. You may save the aggregate Marked List, the database-specific Marked List or both Marked Lists
5. Click the Save button.
6. A second window asks you to create a name and enter a description for the Marked List. The description is optional.
7. Click Save to save the Marked List and to close that window.

Opening a Saved Marked List

1. Sign in to Web of Science. If you do not sign in, you will be given the opportunity to sign in if you try to open a saved Marked List. A Marked List cannot be opened unless you sign in.
2. From any search or results page, click the Marked List button.
3. On the Marked List page, click the Open/Manage button.
4. A second window will open showing the Marked Lists that you have saved.
5. Click the name of the Marked List you wish to open.
6. A second window asks whether you wish to replace the records on the list with new records or whether you wish to add records to the saved list.
7. Select an option, and then proceed replace or add to the Marked List.

Deleting a Saved Marked List

1. Sign in to Web of Science. If you do not sign in, you will be given the opportunity to sign in if you try to open a saved Marked List. A Marked List cannot be opened unless you sign in.
2. From any search page, click the Marked List button.
3. On the Marked List page, click the Open/Manage button.
4. A second window will open showing the Marked Lists that you have saved.
5. Select the check box next to the Marked List or Marked Lists you wish to delete. Or select the Select All check box.
6. Click the Delete button.

If You Change Your E-mail Address

Be aware that you saved marked list is associated with your email address. If you change the e-mail address you use to log in to Web of Science, then you cannot retrieve the saved marked list associated with your previous e-mail address.
